Land record of 454 villages made online.
SAS Nagar, 22 August (Bureau) Fard Kendra established by the Govt. of Punjab to provide all type of revenue services from single window are proving to be very beneficial for the general Public. Earlier public has to approach Tehsildar & Patwaris for obtaining land records but now with these Farad Kendras public could easily get their land record which in turn saved their time, energy & money. Explaining this, Deputy Commissioner Sh. D.S. Mangat said that 2 lacs 37 thousand 203 Farads & 3 lacs 44 thousand 987 attested copies have been issued through Farad Kendras, so far.
Deputy Commissioner said that it takes hardly 10 to 15 minutes to get a land record through these Farad Kendras & with a nominal fee of Rs. 20/- per page, one could easily get the attested copy of his land record. Sh. Mangat said that there are 6 Farad Kendras located at DC office SAS Nagar, Tehsil Complex Kharar, Tehsil Complex Dera Bassi, Sub Tehsil Majri, Sub Tehsil Banur & Zirakpur which are working satisfactorily. He said that 53 Thousand 641 Farads & 20 Thousand 768 attested copies of land records have been issued through Farad Kendra at DC Office SAS Nagar. Whereas from Farad Kendra at Tehsil Complex Kharar 63 Thousand 61 Farads & 96 Thousand 850 pages of attested land record have been issued. Similarly Farad Kendra at Tehsil Complex Dera Bassi has issued 46 Thousand 594 Farads & 88 Thousand 803 pages of attested land record. Meanwhile from Farad Kendra at Majri 48 Thousand 935 Farads & 70 Thousand 708 pages of attested land record have been issued. Whereas Farad Kendra at market
committee Banur has issued 19 Thousand 106 Farads & 37 Thousand 976 pages of attested land records and from Farad Kendra at Zirakpur 5 Thousand 866 Farads & 29 Thousand 882 pages of attested land records have been issued.
Sh. Mangat said that there are 464 villages falling within the jurisdiction of SAS Nagar district, out of which land record for 454 villages stands computerised and attested copies of land records are being provided on the spot for these villages. He said that for the remaining 10 urban villages, the land record will be computerized very soon.
Sh. Mangat further directed the entire staff of these Farad Kendras to ensure transparency in their work and said that negligence towards duty will not be acceptable. He said that entire revenue department in the district should ensure transparent & fair working.
